Liliana Ramirez is the Global Director, Lean Manufacturing. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the Ford Production System and Learning and Development for more than 65 plants worldwide. Liliana began her professional experience working as a civilian for the Unites States Army. She began her Ford career in 1993 and has held several key management positions within Manufacturing. Liliana has a passion for the human side of Lean and is distinguished by her ability to take a vision and make it a reality through sound strategy development and execution. She intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that wind through an organization and works with the manufacturing teams to drive improvements.
Born in Chicago and raised in Colombia, South America, she has lived in Indiana while she worked at the Chicago Stamping Plant and currently resides in Michigan. In addition to her manufacturing leadership roles, Liliana is the co-chair for the Ford Women in Manufacturing resource group and an executive sponsor of the Ford Hispanic Network. She volunteers using her professional skills to help non-profit organizations like The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant and the Detroit Latino Synergy group define their vision and strategy. She actively works with SHPE recruiting, and engages stakeholders to continue to support and increase membership for local high-school co-op programs.
Liliana is a mother of 3. She inspires her sons to be hardworking and independent.
