  • "If you are a Black man or a Black woman it is hard to find people who are of color. There’s a small handful of us who can find a person who can actually listen to us because our voice might be different or the way we speak may be different. So it was nice to be with folks who might not have been through what I’ve been through but look the same way and understand.”

  • “This group has been one of support, empowerment, and love."

  • "Meeting weekly with my group helped me cultivate better relationships and provided a safe space to sort through a time of tremendous transition in my life."

  • "It has been good just to talk! I am feeling supported, affirmed that I have real, tangible stressors."

This program is sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor.
